Note to Parents

Parents, at DriveRight we understand your concerns. We take teaching your teenager to drive seriously. It is important that you do your research to find the best driving school for your teenager. Below are some of the questions you should be asking:

Q: Does the driving school have room to comfortably teach students?
A: DriveRight has two classrooms

Q: How much video time will my teenager see, and how much time is the instructor in the classroom?
A: At DriveRight, each two hour class consists of not more than 40 minutes of video, 80 minutes of discussion time with the instructor, which includes one worksheet and one test.

Q: When will my teenager start driving?
A: At DriveRight, students can schedule their drives after they have completed class sessions #1, #2, and #3. We do not schedule drives months out, it is important that students drive in a reasonably short time after the classroom sessions so they can apply that knowledge to real situations.

Q: Will the student receive a final exam?
A: DriveRight has a final exam of 50 questions that cover all 12 of the classroom sessions.

Q: What kind of vehicle will my teenager drive?
A: DriveRight features a fleet of Chevrolet Cavaliers. These cars feature Anti-lock brakes, dual airbags, steel cage construction, and cell phones – so the driver or student can be reached if needed.

Q: What are the qualifications of the driving instructors?
A: Every DriveRight instructor is trained to DriveRight’s high standards and has a minimum of 10 years of driving experience. Also, each driver has a thorough background check which includes an FBI and driving record check. Your teenager’s instructor will pick them up in a clearly marked training vehicle and each instructor will be in a DriveRight uniform.
